It fits well in my flashlight, and works well with the original incandescent bulb. These 18650 to 2x D cell adapter works great! My 2x D cell Mag lite flash lights with after market LED bulb is so much brighter now, due to increased voltage from 3 to 3.9. You probably have to bend the spring at the bottom of the flashlite to ensure good contact with the narrower 18650 battery.

Thanks for the kudos lunker7. Yes, in certain applications the negative spring in the device might be larger than the 18650 cell. Your solution of bending the final coil of the spring inward is a simple and effective, thanks for sharing. I've also have taken this into consideration by designing a "negative cap" which has a large copper washer to bridge the contact area for users who do not want to alter their device. This is offered as an "option" in all applicable listings. Thanks F
