About this product

Product Information

Reliquary is the smash hit second book in the Pendergast series, from New York Times bestselling authors Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child Hidden deep beneath Manhattan lies a warren of tunnels, sewers, and galleries, mostly forgotten by those who walk the streets above. There lies the ultimate secret of the Museum Beast. When two grotesquely deformed skeletons are found deep in the mud off the Manhattan shoreline, museum curator Margo Green is called in to aid the investigation. Margo must once again team up with police lieutenant D'Agosta and FBI agent Pendergast, as well as the brilliant Dr. Frock, to try and solve the puzzle. The trail soon leads deep underground, where they will face the awakening of a slumbering nightmare... in Reliquary , from bestselling coauthors Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

    Who is Pendergast really?

Intense, fast paced, and totally unexpected characters. Pendergast is mysterious and investigates similar to Sherlock Holmes. Reliquary continues the story Relic, with a lot of the same characters .

  • Not your average sequel.

I halfway expected that in this book, the sequel to The Relic, they would discover that there was a second monster, and the sequel would be a replay of the first book. Not so. The plot is very different but flows well from the first book. The best thing the authors could have done to pique my interest in this book was exactly what they did......... On the inside front flap of the dust cover they inscribe the following: REL-I-QUARY relic-wary (n): A shrine or coffer for displaying an object, bone, or body part from a saint or deity. PERFECT, otherwise who knew that reliquary actually had a significant meaning? The description of the New York underground is both fascinating and chillingly sinister at the same time. The authors did their homework and much of their description is apparently ...

  • Life and Times of Margo Green , D'Agosta and friends

Delivering a sequel to the book, Relic. Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child gives us a twisted tale that only gets more deadlier then the first time. In fact, it is so deadly of a tale that the reader realizes the fragile situation. Men and their egos; they can do great harm. The tale touches one real situation. It is acknowledged by the writers that there is life in the basement. We can hide from it but it is there simply because ... There is a lovely part told about something from the past. A legend? A story from the past? A reality of men with money may have tried to escape from daily contact with common men. I would never want to give away the plot of any book. This one will twist you left and right. Why? To save the world? To give concern with unchecked researchers? To make justice ...

  • Two of my favorite authors

Preston and Child write great adventure and suspence novels. This one is no different,a great sequel to the Relic! I love the fast pace and multiple story lines. I read everyday, and usually finish a book a week,so price is important to me. E-bay offers quality books at a great value. When a book arrives I order another one, so when I finish the first, the second is there. It's a great way to build your library. Oldcatfisherman
