    Colonel Hackworth, bless his soul, was truely a soldiers soldier. A great and outstanding officer.

    A very good story of how an officer could turn an infantry battallion into a great fighting force. Top Dayoc was my company sergeant, Delta Co. 1st/ 327th infantry 101st Airborne. Also, Hackworth was once a commander with the 327th. A great read...
