WOW, took cross feed apart finally, cleaned and installed this new brass cross feed T-nut! NO backlash! Totally impressed with the quality of the machining on this nut! I believe I will buy a spare. I rethreaded the original before I put new one on, and it was definitely sloppy. I was lucky having inherited this South Bend 9A from my dad, feed screw was in excellent condition.
