Several Treatments Later....
Several treatments later - two days of two treatments each, I'm not seeing anymore fleas. Cat and dog have stopped scratching. Still putting flea collars on them both for the winter. Always treated with Frontline on dog during spring & summer. Cat never goes out. Don't know why I had noticeable fleas indoors this fall. Might have accidentally skipped Sept. Frontline drops on the dog??? Smells like a clean and fresh veterinarians clinic. Not too much of a medicinal smell, but defiantly some. Animals don't mind laying on their clean blankets that have been sprayed. Small 1200 sq ft house, treated all rooms total of 4 times on less than one jug. I'm pretty sure Black Flag makes a one gallon flea spray for around $20. Better value if it works as well or better. Discovered this ... Sentry Home and Carpet Flea and Tick Spray
These carpet sprays are somewhat effective. The best way is to vacuum, then spray liberally onto the carpet, with the windows open and the animals out of the way, but not out of the house like some de-foggers require (one bottle did 5 small rooms). It kills whatever bugs it hits; therefore whatever it doesn't hit lives on... But these sprays- combined with flea drops, etc. applied to the pets- can make a difference. I change products every time I spray (different main ingredient) because I think the flea generations develop immunities to them. This one has a very nice smell, not "medicinal" like some of the others.These carpet sprays are somewhat effective.
