Doobie Brothers Music!
Nice to see the guys are writing their own material on this CD. Basic Doobie Brother's music here, except for the opening track which seems oddly out of place. The DVD is worth watching. I only wish all of the concert/live footage was of actual performances. What we have is the live band playing back in the seventies with music that doesn't match with the video. They could have taken a bit more care in that footage. I would recommend this to a freind who is into the Doobie Brothers already.Nice to see the guys are writing their own material on this CD. Doobie's Are Back With A Vengeance!
........and it's like they never left. This album is a work of art and sweetly executed by most of the original members. Hard to imagine after all these years they could sound as fresh and youthful as ever but they do! Even the remake of "Nobody" sounds like it was cut from the original 1st Doobie's self titled 1971 album with just a touch more punch. Not a mediocre song in the bunch. Any Doobie's or country rock fan will definitely not be disappointed and if this doesn't come up for a Grammy nomination I will be. Pick this up ASAP and enjoy!........and it's like they never left.
