The part was considerably less substantial than the OEM trim cap molding it was intended to replace. It was bowed and the interior panel snapped off easily from the outer molding the first time I tried to release the tailgate step. The communication was good and I was given a full credit, but I would not recommend this part.

fast shipping, packed ok could used some bubble or paper wrap around mounting brackets as this does not come fully assembled
would be helpful if this came with assembly instructions.
I ended up using all stainless hardware instead of what it is delivered with as well as sprayed an extra coat of paint before installation. used a pump jack and 2 straps was able to replace it with no help.
