This filter does eliminate the IR light enough to not have unfocused IR light from reducing contrast on my lenses. The filter came in its own protective packaging. The UV filter will block UV light shorter than 390nm, but does not reduce fringing of purple light at 410nm. On the IR side, it does not significantly dim my H-Alpha test light source. It starts blocking on wavelengths longer than 700nm. Overall a nice inexpensive IR block.

The SV48P telescope was shipped fast, and like two other items, arrived sooner than expected. It was very well packed, double-boxed and arrived with no damage. The scope is very good quality at this price point. It does have some CA, to be expected with a fast doublet. Otherwise, great views of deep space objects and a good all around telescope for the price. SVBONY has excellent communication and customer service, I would not hesitate to buy from them.
