    No link message on OBD2

    I used the cable to link my OBD2 scan reader to my OBD1 car, and never got past 'NO LINK' message. After testing the cable for continuity with an ohmmeter, the cable is good, but my code reader can only read OBD2, so the cable is not the problem. Be sure your code reader can actually read OBD1 before ordering the cable. This is my usual frustration with technojunk: it may be complicated, but it's really hard to use if you don't have a Doctorate in Computer Science.
