"REVOLUTIONARY...I strongly urge anyone with a family member who suffers with ADD to read this book."--Barry Sears, author of The Zone "For parents of children with ADD, adults with ADD, therapists, and physicians. The subtypes Dr. Amen has firmly established will help clinicians everywhere tailor ADD treatments to each and every individual. One size does not fit all."--George Delgado, M.D., FAAFP, associate clinical professor, University of California, Davis "I highly recommend this book to all who want the most up-to-date information on ADD from one of the most highly regarded neuropsychiatrists of our day."--William C. Synopsis
A revised edition of the New York Times bestseller that will help you conquer ADD--from the author of The End of Mental Illness . Attention deficit disorder (ADD) is a national health crisis that continues to grow--yet it remains one of the most misunderstood and incorrectly treated illnesses today. Neuropsychiatrist Daniel G. Amen, MD was one of the first to identify that there are multiple types beyond just purely hyperactive or inattentive ADD, each requiring a different treatment. Now, in this all-new, revised edition, Dr. Amen again employs the latest medical advances in the field, including the largest brain imaging study ever completed on patients with ADD, to identify, examine, and demystify the 7 distinct types of ADD and their specific treatments. With updated recommendations for nutraceuticals and/or medications targeted to brain type, diet, exercise, lifestyle interventions, cognitive reprogramming, parenting and educational strategies, neurofeedback, and more, Dr. Amen's revolutionary approach provides a treatment program that can lead sufferers of ADD to a normal, peaceful, and fully functional life. Sufferers from ADD often say, "The harder I try, the worse it gets." Dr. Amen tells them, for the first time, why, and more importantly how to heal ADD., A revised edition of the New York Times bestseller that will help you conquer ADD. Unfortunately I received a damaged book, the item and the package both were damaged and it was clearly evident its appearance that it happened during transit. The seller was very understanding and gave me a full refund for the damaged book, though it was no fault of their own. Other than the damage, the book was as described, the quality and condition aside from the damaged spot was like new. The cost of the book was reasonable. I would definitely purchase from the seller again.

I recently purchased an item from this eBay seller, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the prompt communication to the fast shipping, everything was handled with utmost professionalism. The item arrived exactly as described and was well packaged to ensure its safety during transit. The seller was courteous and responsive, making the entire transaction smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality products and excellent service.

Although this book was not as described, with no picture of it in the listing, the seller communicated well and quickly gave me a full refund while letting me keep it. The minimal packaging left the book a bit vulnerable (typical for ThriftBooks), but it did arrive safely and timely. As usual, it’s hit or miss with this seller, but often times you can get great values, and their customer service is always very good. Many other sellers with millions of transactions don’t even communicate.

Healing ADD book , Dr. Daniel Amen

Very interesting, ultimately, God is the healer, but he uses doctors until.... This book helps alot, but without money and insurance, getting a SPEC scan needs compassionate donations. Appreciate all the years of research to put so much knowledge together.

  • Fascinating

Loaned it to daughter who has ADD son. Didn't get it back. I think I have ADD. She laughs (I'm 84 years old). I know I have had it all my life but couldn't express myself. Going to buy another one if I can get my hands on it.

  • Interesting reading

I purchased this for my fiance, who discussed it with me chapter by chapter - not a first-hand review, but I can report that she found it quite interesting and informative, and plans to take action. We shall see about the results.
