    YA Séances, Spiritualism, Sailing, Finance, & the 1920s

    I buy a lot of juvenile books, as I have an interest in quality Children's Literature, read them, and then list them on eBay if they are as good as they looked. I just finished reading this book for Young Adult (YA) readers, and will be listing my hardcover copy. This one interested me as it involved not just metaphysical arts but more: it is set in the pre-crash days of the 1920s, when spiritualism was a popular interest of the day and séances a popular parlor entertainment. Set as in the home of a wealthy widower in the 1920s, it uses "clean language;" though suggestions of past events hint at sexuality, it involves none beyond a kiss that also leads to an understanding of why a mother is interested in men. It treats the topic of séances and spirituality with dignity, differentiating ...

    Great Reading

    Gena Showalter is a great author. She combines everyday life with with the supernatural realm and makes it very interesting. Once you pick up one of her books, you don't want to put it down until you are done

    Another Great Gena Showalter Book!

    I bought this book, because Gena Showalter is my current favorite auther. She has such a great imagination, and that comes across very well in her writing. It's like you're watching a good movie while you're reading it. If you like Gena Showalter, you'll enjoy this book.

    I was engrossed in the book. Read it in one day. Totally worth buying/reading. I am ready for a series on this main character.
