    GREAT buy!

Living with my husband and his parents, I have spent years asking for signs so that I can say certain things to his deaf brother. Now, I do not have to ask someone else for signs! I can simply pull out my sign language dictionary and find out a sign for myself! YAY!

  • American Sign Language Concise Dictionary

I bought it because I am trying to learn the sign language, and needed something where I could look up words I needed for certain occasions that I did not already have the words for. The only disappointment was that I thought it was the main dictionary, but it was an abbreviated version of it, so it does not have all the words I need in it. It does have larger and more clear illustrations than the real whole dictionary has, however. It was my mistake. I didn't read well enough the description of it, I guess.

  • American Sign Language Concise Dictionary

I bought this signing dictionary to expand on my 2 year old daughter's baby signs. She uses 30 or more signs that we learned from baby signing books, dvd's, etc. She uses signs to request what she wants and needs. She is still non-verbal and needs more signs in her vocabulary. This book has been helpful on some occasions, but not all the words I have looked for are included in this edition (such as yogurt). It is a good tool but not all-inclusive for our situation. The descriptions of how to do each sign are easy to follow and there is a drawing of a person signing each one.

  • have not used it yet but reccomend

i like it because it has alot of pictures to help make it easier to use , and seems to be very thuro and complete i do not have the best vision and sign language is very challenging to me because i dont like to focus on one thing so much and it just seems very hard to learn and i give up before i even try most of the time and the book being so thick is intimidating to me and makes me think it will take me weeks to learn how to read and use each sentance that i would use in a realistic situation also i dont like not being able to use my hands and eyes how i like while communicating the whole idea of sign language is like an overload to me i dont like the idea and i dont know anyone who would understand for me to use it with except my girlfriend wanted me to get this and was supposed to be ...

  • American Sign Language Concise Dictionary

I'm just learning sign language and this dictionary is very helpful in refreshing my memory with signs that I learned in class but can't remember yet, especially since it has the illustration. It is more convenient to use the concise dictionary most times through the day because it is less bulky in size to carry, although sometimes it doesn't have a word that I need in it. In the long run it is very helpful and more convenient to use.
