  • Poor example of text and pictures if you grew up around these cars

I guess that since I grew up in the 60s and 70s, and I not only saw but also drove many of the cars produced in those years, I was expecting something more substantial. Then again, there are a few hundred pages in the book, but it just seems lacking. Too many of the pictures look like they might almost be taken from old ads that didn't show the car clearly. A walk around the parking lot of a Barrett-Jackson or Mecum auction would be a great place to be able to take photos of cars that would be much clearer, and a better example of so many of the cars. I know that writing a book 30 years later than the subject makes the availability of the models harder to find. I indicated "no" on recommendation, value and compelling content, but if you have never seen any of these cars, and if you can buy a copy for $10 or less, I would change those answers. But as I mentioned, I grew when those cars were new, so I am very biased. Also, the cars I did have a stronger interest in viewing didn't have a decent example, if any, and that also tended to disappoint me.
