    Hoover Self-Propelled Ultra Wind Tunnel Upright Vacuum

    I bought this vacuum because Consumer Reports rated it the highest of any upright. The one thing it does well is pick up dirt and the rotary hand tool does a superb job of vacuuming up dog and cat hair on upholstery but..... There must be a better designed vacuum on the market. It is very heavy. The carrying handle is too low to carry the machine. It drags when I pick it up. I'm 5'5". Almost impossible to get up/down a stairway. It doesn't fit on a step either. It throws out a lot of hot air. It marks up light hard floors by either running over the black cord or with it's black wheels. The marks refuse to come up with anything I've tried so far. The attachment hose is too short, about 2 ft. If stretched it will flip back to the vacuum and you'd better get out of the ...

    Hoover U6434-900 Bagged Upright Vacuum review

    I have two of these vacuum cleaners. One for downstairs and one for upstairs. My bad back prevents me from carrying one back and forth. So far, over a year, both have performed with out flaw except for one belt replacement on each and bag replacements. The self-propelled feature is a great help for someone with a bad back. The extension hose is long enough to do the 16 step stairway.

    One size does not fit all.

    I have had this vacuum for about a year. It sucks (in a good way) better than any Hoover I have owned. The powered hand brush attachment is great for pet hair. Not a perfect vacuum and not right for everyone. It is a little on the heavier side but well built. It does tend to tip easy when using the hose. If you want a powerful vacuum for carpets and cleaning pet hair off furniture, this may be what you are looking for.

    A SURPRISINGLY GOOD VACUUM!!!

    I have to admit that I am a little biased when it comes to vacuums. I have high-end brands like Kirby, Electrolux, and Oreck, but I was curious as to why windtunnels were so popular. I bought a used one because I did not feel like spending top dollar for a vacuum that I really do not need and at a hundred bucks, it was worth every penny. I never thought that a common Hoover could clean BETTER than some of the ones I have. Now I know why it says that it cleans better than any other upright. The brushroll cleans like nothing I've ever seen. I like how every attachement is on the vacuum, including the power brush, and the filtration is one of the best. It is a heavier vacuum to lift. To push and pull, you have the option of engaging the self-propelled feature which makes using this machine ...

    great product

    took a little getting used to, but the cleaning it does is excellent. The cord is a generous length, there are two wand attachments, for high spots, and the machine seems well made. Only surprise is the weight, but after discovering the handle-hold on the back, carrying it up or down the stairs is way easier.
