The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Wii U is an enhanced version of the GameCube title featuring HD graphics and features. The Wii U GamePad display provides quick access to a map and inventory, while the controller's gyroscope can be used to aim. Veteran players will find an added challenge in Hero Mode where Link takes double damage from enemies and there are no heart drops. Select amiibo figures are compatible with the game as well; the Wolf Link amiibo that is specifically made for this game unlocks a new level. In Twilight Princess players guide the elfin Link as he fights to save Hyrule from a shadowy threat, one that has cast a crippling darkness over the once vibrant land and its surrounding areas. Link has a few new powers up his tunic's sleeve, however, as he can transform into a wolf with the help of a mysterious animal friend named Midna. Link can even continue his battles on horseback, running at full gallop into packs of mounted enemies. Twilight Princess also includes several optional mini-games, from canoeing to herding to fishing.

    worth buying again

    It is a good zelda game; not the best one but it's good and has some different ideas in it that are cool. It's a port with better textures running in HD so it looks better but not as good as the system could do. It's the GAME that makes it good. This may get somebody unable to tolerate the old game's graphics able to play it now... although, I wonder if such a person is skilled enough (or smart enough) to enjoy a zelda game...

    Beautiful Graphics, Compelling Gameplay

    Twilight Princess has always been one of my top 3 Zelda games. The graphics are beautifully dark, the music is the best in the series (in my opinion), and the development of the story and relationship between Link and Midna is compelling. The game has some classic features and tools (such as the hero's bow) and some new features (like the ball and chain). Poe hunting is also easier with the new Poe Lantern in this version. And who doesn't love racing Yeto and Yeta on a hunk of snow? The dungeons are also a bit more interesting than some of the other games.

    Won't Disappoint for Zelda Fans

    Having played my first Zelda game on the N64, this is a great return from 10 years of absence. I do have the Wii U Zelda "Wind waker" but the characters were too "cartoonish", although the game itself was good. But this one, it's supposed to have come out in 2006 and is a remake on the Wii U, but I must have missed it. It is great, watching my daughter solve the game.

    Exactly as expected.

    Graphics are what you'd expect for the age of the game. Storyline is a bit quirky, but my kids love it, even after playing Breath of the Wild. I purchased this game for them so that their WolfLink Amiibo would be able to accumulate more hearts when it was uploaded into Breath of the Wild.

    Good game, pointless sidequest

    Good zelda game. 4 stars because the big sifequests feel pointless and unrewarding. I'm talking about the golden bugs and poe souls just to be clear. Knowing the reward for getting all 24 bugs and all 60 poe souls it just doesn't seem worth the effort.
