    it's no SureFire, but it's great for keeping on a pistol on the nightstand. It lights when you turn it on, it's bright, and I didn't have any issues with it blinking or coming on while shooting 100 rounds of 9mm through the pistol it is attached to. I have no experience with battery life or impact resistance, but I like this over carrying a pistol in one hand and a flashlight in the other. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the rail on the FN as well as I would have liked. A small portion of the mount hangs off the front of the gun- nothing that impedes performance, but I just think it would look better if the entire mount was on the rail.

    Eats batteries

    Quality of build is nice, no rattles, no loose fitting switches or parts. Biggest complaint is battery usage. I've tried three different brands of batteries, Panasonic that came with the battery, Duracell and Energizer lithium. Batteries don't last long at all. I mounted my light to my search and rescue helmet thinking the light would provide a great hands free light. I'm getting approximately 1 hour total run time.

    Attached to a 5.56 black rifle

    I fastened this light to the forward right side picatinny rail of my 5.56 black rifle. I wanted a small flashlight, not some bulky item to get in the way of my grip on the rifle. The mount clamps down tightly, no binding or looseness in its grip. This light has a double acting switch; press one direction for momentary light ON; press the other direction to switch the light ON continuous; switch it back to OFF. Battery inserts easily; no issues with its cap. Switch is functional without any sloppiness in its feel. I have not fired the rifle yet with this light on it, so I cannot evaluate the light for resistance to recoil. This 400 lumen flashlight really lights up a room up to 40 feet away (in my quickie testing).

    High quality light. Works great.

    This light is high quality and well constructed. I have this installed on a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 1.0 full size model. Both ambi up/down toggle switches are easy to operate. It is very bright and has a really good throw. This light is not super small or lightweight and adds a bit of weight to the front of a pistol, which can help in reducing recoil. I have fired about 200 rounds with this light on and it has not moved, shifted or failed to work. I would recommend it.

    Excellent....for the price.

    I gave this product 5 stars for the quality/price factor. It's a good light, certainly ample enough for what I bought it for....home defense. I think it's a great light for those on a budget, and I certainly recommend it for that. Does everything I wanted it to do. If it stands the test of time, then that's icing on the cake.
