    I had this cookbook for years,a nd then my mother borrowed it, loaned it to someone else, and so on, and it disappeared. I felt lost without it. I finally decided to get another and it really helps to fuel my cooking creativity, and my confidence. (Even my sister calls to refer to it now that I have it back....she is famous for having started a fire while boiling water.) The recipes go from the absolute basics, to the seemingly complex, and it becomes clear that if you can read you can cook well. This is an ABSOLUTE must have! It is a great addition to other cookbooks, or can be the ONLY one you have on your shelf.
