The explosive true story of Sergeant Carlos Hathcock, a legendary Marine sniper in the Vietnam War. There have been many Marines. There have been many marksmen. But there has only been one Sergeant Carlos Hathcock. He stalked the Viet Cong behind enemy lines--on their own ground. And each time, he emerged from the jungle having done his duty. His record is one of the finest in military history, with ninety-three confirmed kills. This is the story of a simple man who endured incredible dangers and hardships for his country and his Corps. These are the missions that have made Carlos Hathcock a legend in the brotherhood of Marines. They are exciting, powerful, chilling--and all true. INCLUDES PHOTOGRAPHS

Great condition and a great read

A very good book about an extremely talented man. The author described a man with unique ability that made a positive mark on the history of United States involvement in the Vietnam war. I really enjoyed the book.

  • A MUST read for everyone

This book is very well written in a style that makes it easy to understand and follow. This is an excellent true story about Carlos Hathcock, Marine Sniper, and his comrades and friends. The author vividly describes the landscape and temperature, the events that happened and the personalities of the soldiers in such a way that I felt as if they were my friends. It will open your eyes to a small part of the hell that was Vietnam. It will tear your heart out at the same time that it is making you proud of these soldiers and what they endured for our freedom. I laughed, I cried and I cheered when he accomplished a mission! My heart was filled with pride and respect for this brave soldier, and anguish for the pain and suffering that he knew in his life. He was a man of good character and his ...

  • Thrilling true story of the greatest sniper

Gunnery Sargent Carlos N Hathcock II is one of the greatest snipers of all time. THE greatest in my humble opinion. This book will take you into the mind of White Feather, Vietnam's deadliest sniper. Henderson does a magnificent job of making you picture the environment and the situation vividly. To get the complete experience of Gunny Hathcock buy Silent Warrior, also by Charles Henderson, to read along with Marine Sniper. I think it only appropriate to close with a quote from the man himself; "The most deadly thing on the battlefield is one well aimed shot."

  • Great Book

Just as Great as “American Sniper” by Chris Kyle. But this one is the old school version. Amazing what those men could do and what they endured. There should be a movie about the life of White Feather also!
