Worked awesome, here’s a tip. Use cutting oil and drill slow. I drilled over 180 spot welds with this doing a roof skin and it still works pretty good after all that. I would buy again for sure.

    professional quality easy to use

i've used several of these blair double ended spot weld cutters for many years to professionally remove spot welds to separate auto body panels for restoration easy to use time and time again if the cutter breaks a tooth or dulls you simply unscrew the cutting bit and flip it around for a new cutter and replacement cutters are available saving cost of replacing the whole cutting tool unlike other brands and styles! i've used many types of spot weld cutters this is the only one i will use for all my automotive restorations!!!

    Avoid this spot weld cutter!

I don't advise wasting your money on the Blair spot weld cutter. I bought a double tipped cutter with shank and it proved to be a piece of junk real fast! I cut a total of only four spot welds while doing rust repair on the wheel opening area of a ten year-old truck bed. By the time I had finished cutting the fourth weld, the teeth were almost non-existent. I headed for the work bench and vise after removing the cutter from the drill to flip the cutter so I could finish the job. No such luck! The cutter had fused itself to the threads of the shank. It wouldn't come off. So much for the shank and cutter! I paid $14 for it and it was only able to cut four welds! I had to chisel a couple of other spot welds because it just couldn't bite into the weld enough to grip it. Cutting those spot ...

  • Not well made

I was very disappointed with this bit. The 1st spot weld I drilled out went well. The 2nd a tooth broke off. By the 3rd on the teeth crumbled. I flipped the cutter over and tried the next spot weld. The 2nd side crumbled on the 1st try. The cutter bit is overly hardened which makes it shatter. Very disappointing.

  • Shattered both ends after six welds

I bought these because they were USA made. They can’t handle USA spot welds from the 50’s. You have to pre-drill so they won’t walk all over, but they still do and caused more damage than anything. Drilled 6 spot welds before both sides shattered. Could have bought Harbor Freight and done better. There are so many good spot weld drill bits out there and I would not recommend these to anybody.

  • Very good if used correctly

I see reviews where people call this junk, but if used correctly with the rotabroach drilling lubricant, it works very well. Also the drill speed cannot be fast or it WILL get too hot. Going slow to medium speed it cuts fantastic and can be used for hundreds of cuts. Been using these for most of my 40 year career and still use them today.
