It's a screw-hole cover...
Realistically, how excited can one get for a piece of plastic designed to cover hardpoints? It is what it is. I would not recommend buying this item used, as the felt does not age well. Spend a little more for the peace of mind. Buy it new, and it should (as of this writing) have a price-point between $20-$25. This item is not side-dependent, it fits both interior A columns.
