The front and back mounting plate nuts need to be identified as being different as the bolts they mount to are the same. The back ones (M6 with attached washers) went on well, but I'd thought the front ones would be the same. I tried them on the front but they wouldn't thread on far. That caused me to look at the instructions and options further. A smaller looking nut with two washers goes there, but those nuts didn't mount easily either.
