Non NMRA bolster conforming
Walthers and their designers did not use a Stabley Sh t standards that have been in place for about 80 years for the bolster of this truck or all of the passenger trucks that they manufacture in Asia. When you change out an old truck with these it requires some machining and shimming. I’ve mentioned this to Walters and they have no idea what I’m talking about because they don’t have a department that keeps up with an NMRA compliances. Or it appears that way. The trucks them selves are well-made and good looking they should have used black and screws instead of nickel plated or chrome plated screws on the top of the trucks to assemble them they have to be camouflaged. But it doesn’t matter because they’re not going to make them anymore. And no one has come forward making a reasonably priced ...
