    Very good DVD player

    This is an excellent replacement for the DVD player we had. Our other one had a tendency to reject discs...this one hasn't rejected any discs. The remote is a bit small, but you get used to it.

    Wow, the Sony brand name and only $40! Some buttons need to be pushed repeatedly, sometimes they don't work at all. The volume varies, and sometimes the sound turns to mush. I'm reminded of a Bolex watch I bought on the street in Hong Kong that stopped before I got back to my hotel. The phrase "if it seems like too good of a deal, be very suspicious." Pure unadulterated junk, but they got it here pretty fast.

    I expected a little more from a Sony product

    Even though the player claims to play multiple formats, it still didn't add much more than the cheaper brand player I had before. It may be too sensitive, and it labeled some DVDs as "dirty", and could not play them when you could not see any dirt or significant scratches on them.

    Wouldn't buy again.

    The device is very small and setting up with the remote was not clear as to what buttons to use in the setup and navigating the setup menu. Other devices in my entertainment center do communicate with the TV for functions like volume and power but this player does not. And why isn't a HDMI cable included when this device is clearly intended for HDMI use.

    Great Quality DVD Player

    I actually already have this DVD player and I have had it for years. I love the size, quality and I am still using it today. Because it has a zoom and slow playback feature I use it in my fireplace to replicate a live fire and it is safe. So, I purchased this DVD player for use in my future. It is hard to find for a reasonable price a DVD player that has these features. Thanks for the fast shipping and a great sale.
