I've spent 6 hours in worse ways.
This is a surprisingly carefully done redition of this movie. It follows the book extremely well. Of course everyone think of Rhett/Clark Gable and there is no other Scarlett but Vivian Leigh, but if you forgive those two things and a couple of others, its very entertaining. This Rhett doesn't have Gable's fire and civility, but he has a great deal of charm as an older Rhett might have developed. And Walley-Kilmer isn't as featherheaded as Leigh's Scarlett, but she grows on you. All in all, you'll enjoy 6 hours with these people, which is more than you can say about many films. After searching at almost every video store, amazon.com , and everywhere else possible, I finally found this masterpiece here, on Ebay!! I was a dedicated fan of Gone With The Wind and I love this movie also. The movie was always entertaining and full of excitement, but I was very sad to have seen that some of my favorite characters had died. The new Rhett and Scarlett that were chosen were incredible! It's a great sequel-simply brilliant!!!After searching at almost every video store, amazon.com , and everywhere else possible, I finally found this masterpiece here, on Ebay!! it was a great concept and a good movie
Historic fiction is great. Watching a continuation of a classic was really fun.Timothy Dalton just didn't quite make it as Rhett, but then there was only one Clark Gable. The story knit together really well and the continuation of the love story at the end was very satisfying.
