The Rockford Fosgate R2D4-12 is a strong and powerful 4-Ohm speaker that delivers strong bass with an ideal balance with treble. This Rockford Fosgate 12-inch car speaker features a mica-injected polypropylene cone that works with a high-density polyfoam surround to deliver rich sound and deep notes. Moreover, this 4-Ohm speaker produces a consistent, reliable performance due to its tinsel leads that carry the signal to the voice coils directly into the cone. Additional features included in this Rockford Fosgate 12-inch car speaker are an anodized aluminum coil former and spider venting to keep the subwoofer cool, a StampCast steel basket for rigidity, spring post terminals to accommodate speaker wire with up to 12 gauges, and a sealed enclosure with optimal internal volume. The Rockford Fosgate R2D4-12 is equipped with dual 4-Ohm voice coils, 250-watts of RMS power, 500 watts of maximum power, a frequency response range from 43 Hz to 250 Hz, and sensitivity of 89 dB. The dimensions of this Rockford Fosgate 12-inch car speaker include a port diameter of 4 inches (10.16 cm), port length of 9.3 inches (23.69 cm), top mounting depth of 5.25 inches (13.36 cm), and cut-out diameter of 11.13 inches (28.27 cm).

    Great Box and Sub!

    For the price, it is phenomenal. The box is tuned for the subwoofer and sounds great and loud. I would definitely buy another one of the subwoofers with this ported box. The only downside is that it is a bit cheaper on the cup terminal, and simplistic box design. But still sounds awesome none the less, you can always swap out the cup terminal for a push pin one

    Makes a distorted noise (crackling sound) ...😔

    Had to wait to install the sub because i also ordered a 7" touchscreen stereo and a 2000 Watt amp and sub wiring kit.. when i received the sub first i was Very excited nd couldn't wait to install it, it's been a very very long time since I've had a sound system in one of my vehicles..so just recently i received everything i needed to install into my pickup and finally this past Sunday ( 5/6/2018) i got it done . So when started to turn up my volume i heard that sound that made my smile turn upside down. I have a Kicker KX400.1 amp pushing it ND i started all three gain levels at zero nd slowly turned them up & still making sounds like if it were blown.. The stereo sounds awesome but now I'm don't know what to do??? The price was right but quality is no good.. sorry
