This adapter, a Mini-VGA to VGA adapter, worked perfectly with my IMac G4. Several older-generation computer manufacturers used this specification for external monitor connectivity. This is the perfect adapter for any computer with a Mini-VGA port that you'd like to add a second monitor to, mirror displays, or even replace the main display in the case of a broken display. In my case I used this adapter to gain easy access to an old IMac G4 with a broken build-in display to pull important family photos .This adapter, a Mini-VGA to VGA adapter, worked perfectly with my IMac G4. Just right for the old eMac I bought
I'm never 100% sure when buying an adapter — there are so many varieties. However, I was relieved to find that yes, true to the description, this is the right one for an eMac. Then download Screen Spanning Doctor to enable Extended Display.
