      The manufacturer has been using this type of 3M Acrylic double-sided tape on their headlight and taillight covers, bug deflectors, side window deflectors, rear window shades/spoilers for 30+ years. As long as the vehicle mounting surface is prepared per the installation instructions and the part(s) itself is installed correctly you will not have a problem.
