Good, but didn't work for me
Seems to be a quality item, but I bought it to mount a Burris fastfire right beside my Burris 536. The angled part of the adapter was so close to the rail wouldn't allow me mount it close enough because it hit the scope. I bought a Midwest Industries because it stuck out farther from the rail, only required one rail space, and the angle was. 22.5° which allowed me the clearance needed to put it right where I wanted it, and since it took up 4 rail spaces, it forced me to move it out beyond the receiver and on to the barrel and that didn't look right to me. Even when tightened down fully, it still rattled a bit on my S&W M&P Sport II's built-in picatinny top rail. Problem was solved quickly with a piece of thick tape between the mount and the rail. I'm a musician, and black gaffer's tape (stage tape) was what I had around. High-quality duct tape can work, but I suggest any rugged-quality tape which is not too gooey and not too thin - hockey tape would probably also be good. Livabit RLO33 45 degree OFFSET Picatinny Mount
I have nothing but great things to tell you about this product compared to the other Chinese knock offs. The design that separates this from the other ones is the elongated clamp, once fitted it's super sturdy and very robust. Now let me show you guys a picture if it clamped to my rifle. Thanks Livabit! many uses of offset rail adapter
I liked these as they had 5 slots in them w/2 bolts. I wanted to put my backup sights on the side of my rifle. in wanting to put rear sight as far back as possible, I couldn't do it because the scope lense got in the way. anywhere else on the rail, and any other optic would've worked great. will have to purchase a wider unit for the front and back. lesson learned-cheaply!!
