    Perfect upgrade for older mac

    If like me you have an older AC computer that has a version of os X that does not support trim, which means that it cannot run an SSD. It is a simple and quick performance fix. The use of an 8gb SSD cache means that access to regularly used files is far faster than on a conventional HHD. Yet you retain high capacity storage.     Good compromise between HDD & SSD

    Good compromise between the cheap cost & slow speed of of mechanical drives & the high cost and fast speed of SSD's. Free supporting software can be downloaded from Seagate web site to do basic cloning/partitioning tasks. I found Partitioning software would treat like any other drive but only the Seagate software would clone operating systems successfully.

    Great Upgrade for a old Dell Optiplex 390

    Made a massive difference to loading times. Computer now feels rapid an that is a 2nd Gen i3 2120. Booting into Os is now done in a quater of the time, Google now feels rapid. where before it felt sluggish an slow. If looking to Upgrade a old Mechanical HDD Do it. You are getting close to ssd speeds at a fraction of the cost.
