A "Good Enough Bag" for Most Situations
I spent $300 on a custom, padded carrying case for my CTX3030, but it isn't something that I can leave with a beach chair at the beach, or in my bicycle basket--it is too vulnerable to theft. This bag is more suitable for these situations--it is a nice enough bag to carry your CTX3030 in, but isn't worth a fortune. It is unlikely that someone would steal it, as it is a bit understated in its design and color. The bag is actually much longer than the CTX3030 when the shaft is not extended--there is about 8 inches that folds over, but that is a nice problem to have. The straps are adequate, there is a large outside zippered pocket, and the long zippered access makes taking the detector in and out very easy. The case is not padded, so there isn't a lot of protection for your detector. ... Very good quality carry bag. Has hand straps, shoulder strap, and lots of padding inside. Got this in a package deal with my X-Terra 705. Unfortunately, my detector will not fit, even when fully collapsed. Something would need to be removed, either the coil, or the upper tube section. Not going to complain too much, since it was basically free - it would be a different story if I had paid full price for it. Happy detecting!Very good quality carry bag. Nice bag!
I use it for my Equinox. I loosen the cam lock push the locking button and slide it in then lay the detector over flat like the coil and slide it in. It also holds all my stuff.
