HD video recording is supported by the Canon EOS T4i / 650D with a 170-degree viewing angle that is beneficial for wide landscapes. At full HD 1080P, all video you capture can be shot at 30FPS, 25FPS, or 24FPS. If you wish to shoot in smooth 60FPS, this can be accomplished at 720P HD. The expanded ISO range gives you more flexibility as to where and when you can shoot. When you are shooting movies with the Rebel EOS camera, a stereo microphone will assist with capturing high-quality audio. An input is also included that allows for the hookup of an external mic. With the built-in flash, you can take pictures in low light conditions. Importing media to your PC is made easier with USB and HDMI connectivity. Moreover, you can directly watch videos from this camera on your HDTV through an HDMI cable. The USB port equipped on these Canon cameras is the 2.0 version, which offers very fast transferal speeds. The autofocus system for this Canon Rebel T4i / 650D offers nine points of focus and eight unique modes. These modes include contrast detect, face detection, and live view. Manual focus is also provided, which is useful when you wish to have full control over the final shots. This Canon digital camera is equipped with a lithium-ion LP-E8 rechargeable battery. This battery allows you to take around 450 shots and hours of video before a recharge is required. When you wish to zoom in on an object, lens of this DSLR offers both a digital zoom and an optical zoom. The former extends to 5x magnification, while the optical zoom is set to 3x magnification. All pictures you take with the Canon EOS Rebel T4i 650D DSLR camera are saved in JPEG or RAW formats, of which there are several types for each format. One of the highlights of this EOS camera is the availability of a wide range of exposure controls. There are a total of 14 exposure control types available with this device, including night portrait, sports, and landscape. When searching for a lens, note that this camera is compatible with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses. The EF-S 18-55mm lens that comes with this Canon EOS kit eliminates chromatic aberration on photos for fantastic image quality. In order to capture a lot of photos in a short span of time, use the continuous shooting mode on this Canon DSLR. With this mode, you can snap pictures at a speed of five frames per second. The device itself weighs just over 1.25 pounds, which makes for high portability. The body consists of a black finish and textured grip for easier holding. The viewfinder included with this system has its own magnification of 0.85. For any lighting situation, the expanded ISO range of 100 to 12,800 ensures a clear picture. When you wish to shoot nightscapes and darker areas, you can take advantage of the ISO range and use the EOS Rebel T4i's night scene mode for accurate captures.

    Great camera with lots of capabilities!

    The T4i was the ideal camera for me to purchase. I consider myself a novice photographer, and while this camera's automatic mode is perfect for grab-and-go photos, it also has various modes available for specific types of photography (portraits, landscapes, etc.). As I develop my photographic skills, I can use its aperture or shutter priority modes for more specific shots, and it also has a manual mode as I advance with my abilities. I downloaded the Magic Lantern software to supplement the software that already exists with the camera. I'm going to have to get used to all of the other features this camera has, and it will take me a while, but that's why I bought it – to learn and grow as a photographer.

    Not a bad choice for a beginner

    It arrived earlier than it said and was carefully wrapped in lots of bubble wrap. It was clean and all the parts that were pictured were included plus the UBS cord to transfer files. I'm not a photographer or anything. I purchased the camera to use primarily for Youtube. I did watch some tutorials because all the features seemed overwhelming; however, it didn't take very long to learn the basics of what I am using it for. I'm very happy with it so far. It's been a great investment!

    Upgraded from a T1i. Needed a camera with an external mic input. The T4i had the input and also allowed use of lenses I already had. Didn’t realize I had to use double battery adapter all the time - thought it was an optional accessory. Regardless, great camera and excellent upgrade.
