New and improved!
The newer model is more compact and in my opinion better than the older one. The connectors for the battery are different and require special ends but other than that are about the same. I like the fact that you can remotely turn it off with the optional 20 foot long on off switch. It also has a USB plug, it only comes on when the unit is on. I suppose it would be handy to charge your cell phone or whatever.

Almost DOA
Unit works but has U00 code with red light on AC side of readout. Reads 12 VDC input side ok. When I checked AC side with volt meter, only read 103 volts. Have obtained a return label and have asked for a replacement. This unit has good reviews and that's why I bought it. Will try again.
