As a retired pharmacist I, believe the formula would be enhanced by adding a steroid such as 1 percent hydrocortisone .. As it stands , ITCH X is only partially successful in helping a mild or moderate itch-- I(f the itch is intense, ITCH X successful itch relief is not good-- Aveeno or Baking soda poldices would be a better choice in severe itch-- With that being noted-- The product is packaged for easy dispersal on affected areas and has a mild soothing effect..... Itch without urticarial ( Rash) is difficult to treat and in many times is associated with a dry skin condition-- No product available can ALWAYS be of value in treating non erticarious itch--- Trial and error using various products , may help find a combo that does well to relieve the itch.. Itch X is a Hit or miss proposition -- Not universal in it's abilities to control; ALL types of itch, then again, no product is ---This product is a viable choice , and if it works , all the more benefical to the victim of itch-- applies it along with a steroid cream (example Hydrocortisone cream 1 percent)--Definitely worth a try ..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
