Good reliable testing kit a must for any reefer...
I trust Rea Sea products - testing is a must if you wan to keep a reef system especially a small system like mine 45gal - things can go bad fast, I test twice a month , I don't wait till I see something is wrong. That being said this kit - is easy to use , has tests for NH3/NH4 | NO3 | NO2 | pH | KH - the main drivers for your reef tank - it does not test for Calcium nor Phosphates PO4 - it would be helpful if Red Sea added those to the kit. Back to the kit its self - I think you can do about 50 tests with the kit - it will last you about a year. And be advised the testing chemicals have expiration dates. Three test vials come with the kit - and these are color tests - you compare the reaction color in the vials to a card that corresponds to the value your testing for so if your color blind don't buy this kit, have good lighting and a timer on hand as well ( have to wait for the reaction to occur in the vial of tank water being tested) Have used this kit for years and its pretty spot on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
