My Favorite Edition of Several that I Own
This is my favorite edition of Lord of the Rings. Alan Lee's illustrations are each on their own page, no text on the reverse. Some editions have text on the back of the illustrations. One illustration is a fold out in this edtion, whereas in other editions that I own, it is only a single page. Also, the maps in this edition use red and black ink. Other editions only feature black ink. The one drawback is that it has this translucent plastic case instead of a dust jacket. I like to protect my books' dust jackets with plastic, but this book has the cover illustration right on the cover instead of a dust jacket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The most awesome book out today.
This is the most comprehnsive book that has all three in one beautiful book. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!! I use it as a "coffee table" book" and am suprised at how many visitirs to my home have picked it up and looked it over. It is becoming a much talked about books.
