A delight and a dream to set up and use.
I bought this as an upgrade to a much older Onyko amp I had been running for many years, and I wasn't sure if it would be worth it, considering how close the specs were between this newer one and my older amp (and honestly, how great the old amp was and still is!). Wow. The TX-TN6100 is really an amazing amp - even though it's 'recertified' - it was wrapped and packaged like new, was pristine and factory fresh. I can't believe how great this sounds, and how easy it has been to use. You can deep dive and customize certain aspects of it (input names, HDMI ports, etc), but it's so easy to use with Airplay or Sonos, or directly with services like Spotify. It's been a dream - I'm so glad I upgraded. I also use the 'Zone 2' feature pretty heavily to control ceiling speakers on another floor, and those can be running from completely different sources, than the 7.2 speakers in the TV room - meaning someone can be experiencing a TrueHD Dolby film in one room, and someone else can be listening to an Apple playlist in another room. I had this home theater system professionally installed and every time is is turned off and back on again, the receiver says to reset it. It will not retain the settings. The installer tried all his skills to correct this issue to no success. He told me that this receiver is faulty and needs to be replaced with another unit. User friendly with excellent features
The Onkyo TX-NR6100 is an all around great AV receiver. This Onkyo model is the "base" model to experience certified THX sound. Easy to hook up speakers and subwoofer. So many options to choose from when fully utilizing the settings menu. Paired this receiver with Klipsch Reference and Reference Premier speakers/sub for amazing sound from my 7.2 channel configuration. The TX-NR6100 has Klipsch Optimized sound mode. This means by using the "speaker" option in the settings menu, the receiver automatically sets the crossover for each pair of speakers as well as the sub. Takes any guess work out of it for the end user! Super easy set-up, intuitive settings menu, and easy to understand and use remote control. Previously used an Onkyo TX-NR656 for the past 7 years, and I highly recommend making the switch, as I did, to the highest quality Onkyo receiver that you can afford!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unit wasn't fully tested like claimed in the description. Wifi failed to function after every single possible way of Resetting, updating and forcing update via ethernet.
