Can’t Recommend...
The sound quality is pretty decent, so Harmon Kardon did well on their part, but Cortana is what prevents me from recommending this product. I have it set up in a room without AMAZING WiFi, and half of the time she disconnects. When I ask for her to skip, occasionally she’ll tell me about some ancient ship that sailed the seven seas. When it comes to music she doesn’t always choose the song I’m asking about, though that may be a problem on my part, though Alexa tends to do better with it. Overall, Cortana isn’t my top pick for a digital assistant. one thing I did notice though is that the microphones are amazing! She hears me when I’m almost at a whisper, as long as I’m within 5 feet of her and minimal backround noise, and when music is playing loudly and there is a fan in the backround, she tends to hear me very well. If you mainly want the Invoke for music, I would recommend it, if you would like it to do most other things digital assistants like Alexa and google assistant can do, I would recommend going with a different device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Great speaker but awful tech support!
Speaker is phenomenal. Setup was not good via the Android phone, apparently there is a glitch. Used a computer with windows 10 and it was easy. Harmon kardon support was great but couldn't help. Microsoft help is non existent, in fact I still haven't heard back from them once after three attempts. If not for the computer setup, I would have an expensive paperweight on my hands. Awesome Sound but hard to setup
Just too Cool! Love the sound quality and voice control. Make sure you have a Microsoft account and that it is open on your device that sets it up. Bluetooth also has to recognize the Invoke speaker before you get a successful setup. Don’t expect too much from the manufacturer tech. I could not get my smart phone to connect and tried getting direction from the Harman Kardon group but I guess they are too busy to help a brother out lol.. I love my Invoke but, In the beginning it was a challenge to get all the stars to align so I could enjoy the AAA Sound to fill the room. This is an awesome speaker. Very good sound. Amazing build quality. Cortana is ok. Cortana can get few things done but my Google Home mini is just too good at tasks than Cortana. Fow a while, we thought we would just disable the mic and use this as a bluetooth speaker only. It is absolutely great hardware for sure. Cortana sometime even picks up when we haven't said "Hey, Cortana" and that is little annoying. Highly recommended as a bluetooth speaker. Great sound for the speaker size. I’m use to using Cortana, no real issues there. The only drawback is choppy internet connection at times. The router is only 10ft away if that. Fantastic Audio quality
Audio wuality is fantastic. Only drawback is cortana is borderline useless. When trying to pick a song with voice it often plays the wrong thing and an alarm i set didnt go off. Don't buy.
What I just found out us that MICROSOFT is discontinuing the Cortana software for the speaker in December. Thats what gives it the voice activation feature and its A.I. response. Let's face it, Cortana is junk but I got this speaker so I can pair it to my ipad when working out in my garage gym. So far I like the sound of the speaker but that is all i can comment on. Needs technical knowledge, but is great.
This speaker is great in general. Great bass, clean midds and highs. The price is wonderful $50.00 for a Harman Kardon quality speaker is like a dream, but there is a catch to it. This speaker was designed for giving a voice and use to Cortana, a Microsoft artificial assistant, but as many other things from Microsoft didn’t work as expected and suddenly was discontinued and the support for it was terminated living countless users with a great speaker but with the need to update the speaker drivers and and software. That is not easy to do technology savvy people and kind of impossible for the majority of the rest. That is why these Harman Kardon speakers are selling this cheap. I did all the process that it takes to delete Cortana out of the speaker and convert it to a regular Bluetooth speaker with a wonderful sound. If you are confident that you can do the drivers updates and software installation etc. then you will be happy with this speaker.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
