Nostalgic and new
Awesome product for 3DS fans who want to extend their experiences to playing some Japan-exclusive games on one the greatest handheld consoles of all time. Although it is a shame that the 3DS will essentially no longer receive major additions to their software library, it has 8-9 years worth of hundreds of unforgettable and amazing titles. Now, I would only truly recommend this product to those with explicit interest in specific Japan-exclusive games—e.g., region-locked Phoenix Wright games, region-locked Dragon Quest games, the Taiko Drum Master games, etc. Otherwise, there are hundreds of Japanese indie games (mostly anime sports games or small-scale JRPGs) or dating sims to sift through. A large number of the critically acclaimed games have already been localized internationally, at least in the U.S.—albeit with minor censorships or lost-in-translation events here and there. If you would like novel gaming experiences for the 3DS, it is very likely that you will be able to find some hidden gems locally if you put some time into research and keep an open mind; after all, it has one of the largest selections of games outside of Steam and mobile games. With all of this being said, it is still a great product. The 3DS is my all-time favorite gaming console in spite of its limitations, and so I naturally wanted to explore whatever games I may have missed due to region-lock. And as Nintendo sails to the new frontier with their Switch in tow, I felt that now would be the best time to buy a Japanese N3DS before they are completely phased out. And beyond that, playing with it is surprisingly exciting—something nostalgic and new at the same time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I've always wanted a 3ds and it was totally worth getting.
Since the 3ds came out I always wanted one, but I took a long time to transition away from the previous DSi I had and eventually got a 2ds. All these years later, I finally bought myself a 3ds and it's amazing.
