Works great as a replacement for either/both of the two fans in the HP Compaq 8300 Ultra Slim desktop PC. It is necessary to trim one of the two small tabs on the power connector so that it can plug into the mating 4-pin connector on the motherboard. No other modifications needed. Easy installation. Super quiet, high quality
I have replaced all 4 fans on my 3d printer to noctuas. There is no fan noise at all from 3 feet away. These fans come with different connectors and options, the seem very high quality. Highly recommended. They do move less air than a comparable sized fan, I increased fan size to keep airflow on par with the OEM fan.
