    Well written historical and cultural account

    Otto Friedrich's beautifully written and well researched description of Weimar Germany is the best I've read so far. Each chapter under various titles describes the years from 1918 through 1933 in clear and understanble detail of the chaos that was post war Berlin. A brilliant book, the author had managed to interview many notable people as well from that era that were alive in the late 60's. Although this was published in 1971 it is precise and relevant, and I heartily recommend it.
