    Perfect Motorola for Ham Radio

    While larger than most amateur radios, this radio is actually noticeably lighter than, say the Astro Saber P25 radio. This radio gets a great signal and will last for days on the standard 2600 mAh battery (not included). The Front Panel programming is very straight forward, and much better than on, say a Baofeng radio. P25 is cool and will let you get in on digital nets, much like the other digital modes. (Not to mention that P25 has better audio quality than DMR.)

    Great radio overall!

    I just received my radio yesterday and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve always wanted a Motorola XTS model radio with FPP, everything came as described! The only downfall was that the dust cover that came with the radio was cracked, other then that everything else was spotless!

    Solid performer

    Solid construction, solid performance. You do need to know what you’re doing with comm gear like this - it’s specialized and definitely not for the average user. You need to have a good idea how you’ll use it, how you want to set it up, and you’ll need to communicate that all clearly to the tech you’ll have program it for you. It may take a few iterations to get everything where you want it, it’s a complicated device and not everything that looks good on paper plays out that way in hand.
