      More camera than I needed and maybe too much for me.

      This is my first foray into DSLR cameras so I can't do any comparative analysis. Also I've only had the camera a short time so I am still learning the instrument. Add to that I am the furthest thing from a "tech head." I'm actually more than a little bit of a Luddite. All that said, I will offer my first impressions. The camera seems to have tons of features, the vast majority of which I have no use for and will never use. I simply wanted a better camera/lens combination than my lousy phone camera for capturing images and video (mainly) of the wildlife in my backyard. But the numerous buttons, dials and switches, many of which seem to be redundant, are taking me a while to learn. I would have preferred a much simpler and more intuitive instrument.
