Brings back memories of the 60's

Thankful I was able to get this film. Poetic camera work and a Mozart andante - but wish it had been re-mastered. This was a film typical of the mindset of the mid 60's - freedom and love without responsibility. Viewed today, the lovers are self possessed and the ending hard to believe. Seen today the message

  • 1967 Swedish romantic tragedy based on a true story

It's been a long time since I watched this Swedish 1967 film, about a beautiful 19th century tightrope walker who falls in love & runs away with a soldier, a noble. It is based on the lives of Hedvig Jansen & Sixten Sparre. It's a romantic tragedy famous for it's classical music soundtrack.
