SynopsisA scandalous, sentimental, no-holds-barred, New York Times bestselling memoir from one of Hollywood's most enduring and resilient stars. Burt Reynolds is a Hollywood leading man known for his legendary performances, sex symbol status, and infamous Hollywood romances. In his decades of stardom, Reynolds has seen it all. But Enough About Me will, in his words, "call out the assholes," try to make amends for "being the asshole myself on too many occasions," and pay homage to the superstars and ordinary heroes he has come to love and respect. Beginning with Reynolds's adolescence as a notable football player in South Florida and the devastating car accident that ended his sports career and helped steer him toward acting, But Enough About Me then chronicles Reynolds's meteoric rise to fame. From Oscar nominations, to the spread in Cosmopolitan magazine, to the financial decisions that took him from rich to poor and back again, Reynolds shares the wisdom that has come from his many highs and lows. He also opens up about his romances and breakups with some of Hollywood's leading women, including the "two loves of his life," Dinah Shore and Sally Field, and his turbulent relationship with Loni Anderson, to whom he was forced to pay record-setting amounts of alimony and child support after the couple divorced. Through it all, Reynolds reflects on his personal pitfalls and recoveries and focuses on his legacy as a father and acting teacher.

Great book and almost pristine condition

This book can’t be put down once you start on it. You can’t read it fast enough and sometimes you get so involved you think your right inside the book. The book arrived in basically a plastic wrapper for books. I was worried about the condition it may be in but like I say it was almost pristine and a great value.

BURT trashes his enemies, praises his asskissers

I've read hundreds of Autobio's & ya getta pretty good feel for the great ones & the less than truthful. Like David Cassidy's. Man had a grown daughter and never even MENTIONED her in his Autobio? Cause he hated her Mom? It makes everything else he says doubtful.Denying your child in your Autobio? Burt's is the same way. Like, he says "He never liked Loni Anderson". Dude broke u her and Gary Sandy up, MARRIED her, adopted a kid with her & we're supposed to believe that? Was he that weak minded? In Loni's Autobio "My Life in High Heels" ( A GREAT read!) She claims the man was such a drug addict he was outta control. Cheated on her from day one with Pam. He NEVER mentions ANY of that. He "doesnt see his son much cause he lives across the street from his mom?) Dude is like 85 years old, they've been divorced for decades, he aint man enough to DEAL with seeing his own son cause oopps, he might see his EX? Its a funny read in some places, he really thinks he's funny! I just came away from it thinking the same thing I always thought about Burt Reynolds. Way overrated, especially in his OWN mind! LOL!!!! Just this old gal's opinion.

  • Could have been better if he would have revealed more about himself rather than other people.

I expected this book to be about him and his mishaps as well as successes. He broke down each chapter about his peers and praising stuntmen. Very little about his personal life meaning we all know he was addicted to pain killers from doing his own stunts but no mention of his personal demons and addictions. I bought Sally Fields book so I could find out about their relationship as he only touched the surface. I read Judy Carnes book as she loved him very much but he was very controlling. He never mentioned one word about his marriage to her.

  • GREAT BUY, GREAT BOOK

My mother can't put this book down. If you like Burt Reynolds and want to know more about his life, this is the book for you. She told me last night that this is the best true story she has ever read. Please, give it a try. My mother thought she knew everything that there was to know about Burt, but she was wrong. Very good book!

  • See “Write your product review”.

Burt titled his book “But Enough About Me”. I would rather he had written the book in story form about himself rather than talking about all of his many friends and acquaintances.
