Lasted 15 minutes. Then would not take a charge.
Received battery and charged it with DeWalt charger until fully charged. Tried to use it to cut lengthwise a weeping beech 18” x10” log to use as a woodturning blank. Within 10 minutes battery overheated. Let it cool down and battery showed 1/2 charge left. Tried to charge it but wouldn’t charge. Used up the rest of the battery charge trying to finish the cut. Battery failed. Tried to charge it but not even a glimmer from charger. Switched to my DeWalt 6 amp battery which only had 1/2 charge and finished the cut Plus DeWalt battery had enough charge to cut through another log of the same wood, diameter and length with more charge left. Recharged DeWalt battery so I know charger is working just fine I was warned about after market batteries but figured this had good reviews so took a chance Will be returning and requesting my money back.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

H E A V Y - but will run and run and run...
This thing is HEAVY, and I'm used to the 6AH batteries at 2.25lb, but I think this one is 3.2lb. Not a huge difference from what I'm used to, but if you're coming from a regular battery, watch your wrists! The 6AH battery would last me 2 days, this one will last about 3 days, just like the designation implies, its about 1/3 more battery. The power in both is amazing, and the quick charger can get even the 9AH charged in about an hour. Definitely recommend for larger tools, or if you really can't stop for several days and need to keep going.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Exactly what I expected. It came in original packaging and was a brand new battery. Date was this year and not old. Charged and worked great. Glad I moved up to the flexvolt. Plenty of power to handle the work at hand
What's good about the DeWalt DCB609 Flexvolt 9AH Lithium Battery is the power you have to run your tools for extended amounts of time vs. the smaller batteries. Especially with some of the tools that drain the power faster than others. Yes, it's a bit heavier than batteries of lesser power but I feel the trade off is worth it. Poor Design
The head on this is horrible and had to buy different type. Once I did replace it, in works fine, but only one star for terrible engineering. Original design would leave you loading cutting twine every few minutes . Dewalt, you can do better than that!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beast-mode battery
Battery was tested for the first time on a DeWalt 20V pole saw. Saw ran off and on for around 30 minutes while cutting live oak branches from 4-12" in diameter. Run Time
I think the 9.0 Ah battery is essential for the DCS577X1 FlexVolt circular saw; however, I’m not convinced it has as much run time when fully charged as you might expect. But then it’s a bigger load than the DeWalt 6 1/2” saw draws when used with a normal DeWalt 5.0 Ah battery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
