      Perfect single-channel I/O for recording

      The Audient iD4 is perfect for my desktop recording and voice over work. The preamp has a gorgeous, subtle color that suits my large diaphragm mic amazingly well. It was ready to go pretty much immediately upon plugging in, and reacted immediately to Adobe Audition. It does take a couple of uses to get familiar with the layered controls, but it's completely worth the effort. This is a solid, wonderful sounding unit that takes up hardly any space and is perfect for a single channel I/O with zero lag for direct monitoring during tracking.

      Great little sound card

      For anyone needing a simple, minimal audio interface this works really well and sounds quite good! One mic and/or one instrument -perfect. If you need more simultaneous tracks than this is not for you. If you are an audiophile type than perhaps you need to look in the 600-800 range. I wanted something small and simple (that still sounds good) for times when I’m alternating between a couple computers and I don’t want or need to fire up my higher end equipment. This device really does exactly what I needed. Last, was a bit disappointed to learn the ID4 doesn’t have burr-browns in it (as it’s bigger does) nevertheless, it sounds quite good.

      Small but powerful

      Great device at a great price

      This little box really sounds great and makes it so easy to record. I sent back the blue icicle I had purchased based on a tech magazine review once I gave this a shot. Much better sound! I was a bit disappointed when I learned that the DAC is not the Burr Brown that's in the iD14, but in e final analysis this one is probably as good if not better, and I saved a c note.

      Nice looking premium materials no power needed.

      I love it. Its a great easy to use interface. Its not a brainer. The only downside is the process to receive the free plug ins to use in the computer. Yes they are plug ins that u use with other programs. No software itself. But its ok. Works with garage band
