About this product

Product Information

No one knows where Mario is in Mario is Missing. The Super Nintendo game was developed by Radical Entertainment and released in 1993; it's rated E for Everyone. The publisher and developer used many characters first seen in Super Mario World in this version. Like many other video games in the series, Mario is Missing is an adventure game. This NES video game features exotic cities for characters to explore, and players navigate through each city via a map and compass. While they play, gamers will see world-famous landmarks and retrieve information from a database. When gamers find a clue, they will be able to take a snapshot and look at it again later, if needed. The objective of the game play is to find the missing brother. While searching, players will have to be careful of Bowser and his Passcode Operated Remote Transport And Larceny System (P.O.R.T.A.L.S.). It is believed that Bowser kidnapped Mario and took him to the real world. Bowser isn't alone either; his cronies, the Koopas, will also have to be dealt with. He's currently set up camp in an Antarctic Castle. From their own castles, the Koopas are causing chaos and havoc all around the world. With Super Mario in danger, Luigi sets out to stop the enemy from melting Antarctica and find his brother. Gamers play as Luigi as he travels the map looking for Mario. To help him in his first solo adventure, Yoshi joins him. Along the way, the duo must recover artifacts that the Koopa Troopas stole. It's Luigi's job to find the missing goods and replace them at the appropriate landmarks around the world. To reclaim the missing artifacts, Luigi must attack and jump on the Koopa Troopas. When he jumps on the enemy, the artifacts will spill out, and the brother can collect them. During his journey, Luigi will visit the Colosseum in Italy and the Sistine Chapel. When he tries to return the missing items to landmarks across the globe, he will have to answer trivia questions from the location's curator. Only if he is correct in his answers will the items be accepted by the curator. Not only will players have fun playing the game, but they'll also get a geography lesson. If he is successful, he will foil his enemy's plan to melt Antarctica and triumphantly find Mario. SNES platform gamers will be delighted to see the familiar warp tubes from Super Mario Bros. return to this Mario is Missing video game. Gamers are able to transport Luigi and Yoshi to each new city via the tubes. When the Brooklyn native visits each portal looking for clues, he is transported to a city in turmoil. Most times, the slimmer and taller brother and Yoshi have some clues as to what they are looking for. The duo also collects intel from chatting with locals, solving puzzles, visiting kiosks, and reading the map. Bust out the Nintendo console and revisit your favorite brothers from Brooklyn.

The item shipped fairly quickly and was packed with great care. The item arrived as described and was in great condition. It was on the costly side considering its original retail value, but I understand that this is a relatively rare/niche find, and therefore I believe the price was fair.

    Fun game

This is the kinda game that a cool teacher would let you play in school. Don't get me wrong, it is fun, but you can't even get hurt by the turtle enemies. The story is kinda lame, one mission you are trying to find the ceiling of the Sistine chapel. How woul somebody steal the Sistine Chapel's ceiling without any guards noticing or citizens. But, it is really addicting and it was worth buying

  • Good Game

Between this game and Mario’s Time Machine on the NES and SNES, I guess both versions are very fun to play. It is very interesting how Mario Is Missing would later inspire Luigi’s Mansion.

  • A trip around the world.

It is a relatively non-violent game compared to most Mario games. The basis is on education.

  • Mario is missing!!!

It's different from most Mario games because your Luigi trying to track down Mario. This game from an educational stand point is a good game to brush up on some geography and history.
