The board arrived with the original bios so it cannot read higher speed ram and recognize Xeon E5 chips. Used lower speed (2400mhz) ecc ram and I7 5960x to get into the bios and updated to the latest bios. It's important to get this board working. After the update, the board works flawlessly. Great seller.

Tried multiple compatible cpus, and none worked. it would either powercycle constantly or showed a hardware fault. condition and appearance looked fine and had no bent pins, so its easy to hide a hardware fault. also tried to contact the seller afterwards and recieved no response. would not recoomend
