So far, so good.
Had a local shop install ball joints from autozone. Could hardly drive the truck after that, as it had really bad memory steer. After watching a few YouTube videos, I installed these XRF ball joints on my truck. Took about 8 hrs but it was well worth it. Truck drives amazing now. No sticking at all. Steering is so smooth and tight. Still have to see how they hold up long term but initial impression is good. And I don't mean to be knocking autozone ball joints. I could tell when I took them out that the local shop had just slapped them in, never bothered to clean the flange where the ball joint seats into the knuckle. And by knowing that, they probably didn't bother doing the required 3 step torquing method which can screw up a new ball joint. NOTE: I installed these on a Dana 60 axle which ... Best Value Ball Joints
After reading tons of reviews, I went with these balls joints as a low cost, high quality replacement part. The previous store brand ball joints were shot within a year- without the truck being on the road (less than 5,000mi). These already have a better fit than the old ones and I like the way the dust boots seals. A mark of a quality joint is when they don’t spin when tightening the nuts and these did not. Hopefully that means tight tolerances. The included grease fittings should work for any appliance, including plugs for F250/F350 applicationsAfter reading tons of reviews, I went with these balls joints as a low cost, high quality replacement part. These ball joints are much tighter then the moog right out of the package. The grease fittings are high quality. Not the cheap metal that leaks around the top when trying put grease in. I would definitely buy these again if I need them for one of my other trucks. Hopefully I will never have to use the million mile warranty.
