Double use.
I like that you can use it for both charging a battery, or as a USB power source. The power adapter plugs into the unit, so you can remove it when using it as a USB power pact. The product was delivered promptly and appeared as advertised.and I bought it to try to charge a problem battery. It did not help. Then I tried it on a known good battery, and I could not tell if it was working because the indicator light did not seem to change. I could have used whatever instructions may have been available. Charger is small and slides right onto the 40 Volt battery and clips into place. Charging is relatively fast, and the USB charging port is FAST!!! doesn't like discharged batteries
the charger works as it should.... EXCEPT if you fully discharge your battery. at that point, it will not recognise the battery and flashes the dreaded red/green instead of charging. i used an OP401A charger, which i had, to recover a minimal charge in my expended battery, and *then* the OP403 was able to take over and complete the charge. i have not had an occasion to test the USB functionality, so i cannot verify nor deny this charger's ability to pull power from a charged battery and send it to a USB-chargeable device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not what I ordered
Was a little displeased, I did not receive the product that i ordered, which was a RYOBI 40v lithium battery 4ah with charger that has USB port. The battery is a 40v A ah but the charger does not have the USB port, which is the reason for me to order this one to be identical to my the one I have.
